"When I left Wheeling, I thought I wanted to go far away and not turn back. I moved ten hours away, got a new job and tried to build a different life.

About a year and a half later I was looking for jobs closer to Wheeling. The driving force behind my desire to move closer was my family. I interviewed for jobs in Pittsburgh and looked into Baltimore. I still didn't plan to move back to Wheeling, but I realized it may turn out to be a good transition spot.

During the job search, I interviewed for my current position and after being in the area for less than two weeks, I decided that I wanted to accept the position and move back. Happy to be with my family to bring in the New Year, I was also more aware of the benefits of living here than ever.

The cost of living is great here, the history is rich, there are lots of things to do if you think outside the box. Plus, there are many big cities less than a half day's drive away. As a matter of fact, many people I know have moved back or would like to. I consider myself very fortunate to have found a good job in Wheeling and a new perspective.
