Description

Bethany College is seeking applications for the part time position of Broadcast Engineer. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, scheduling and operation of radio & television broadcast equipment. Primary responsibilities also include operating the master control; repairing, and maintaining the electronic broadcasting equipment for radio and television to include digital production equipment; scheduling and performing periodic maintenance and repairs; operating and troubleshooting video teleconferencing; monitoring and maintaining satellite signals to insure they are operational and broadcast quality and installing broadcast equipment. Candidate will be working inside and outside in heat or cold.
Other duties include:
*Conducting operator maintenance support including minor repairs, circuit card replacement and fuse replacement.
*Maintaining a wide variety of broadcast television-related equipment including: high-end camcorders and VCRs, television monitors, signal character generators, audio-video switchers, routing systems, head end processing equipment, non-linear recorders, digital video recorders and test equipment.
*Administering all records, files and correspondence conducted by maintenance operations.
*Conducting preventative maintenance on all assigned equipment.
*Training of other personnel.

Required Skills
Bachelors Degree required. Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience as a SBE. Experience in broadcast telecommunications radio and television principles, knowledge , skills, techniques ,and practices applied to the state of the art radio and TV systems. Able to troubleshoot radio or television systems; occasionally designs and modifies equipment to employer specifications. Must be able to design and install television and radio systems and have the ability to repair at component level
